We often fail to realize just how blessed we are.  Imagine not having a toothbrush or toothpaste.  Imagine not having a washcloth, or even soap.  Unfortunately, this is the case for hundreds of people right here in our own communities.

The COMPASSION PROJECT  is an ongoing outreach project to help those in need.  HSCC will work with area shelters and outreach ministries to provide the most basic necessities of life.  Here’s how you can help:

Collecting items

Here are the things we need:

  • Gently used handbags, purses, backpacks
  • Basic toiletries
    • Soap
    • Deodorant
    • Toothpaste
    • Deodorant
    • Feminine products
    • Mouth wash
    • Toothpaste (travel size)
    • Hand sanitizer
    • Band aids
  • Other items
    • Non perishable snacks
    • Hand warmers
    • Washcloths
    • Socks
    • Small towels

Please feel free to either pack a bag yourself, or drop off collected items during our weekly worship service.

Distributing items

If you’d like to help get these packed bags to the right people, we can use you there too!
